Hello, it’s Stacy from Craftaholicmomma up today on the Scrapping for Less blog with a wood slice ornament featuring stamps from the new exclusive Winter Fairy Collection.
I recently ordered more wood slices from Amazon. This time I purchased them a little bit bigger than the ones I used for my Christmas ornaments. Those were 2.75″-3″ in size, the ones I just got are 3.75″-4″.
I stamped the fairy and trees from the Winter Fairies stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored the images with my Ohuhu alcohol markers. You could use any alcohol marker or colored pencil to color these in.
I used Nuvo Glitter Accents in Fresh Snowfall to put some dimension on her hat and ground. Nuvo Crystal Glaze added the perfect shine to the star wand. And lastly I added Nuvo Clear Glitter Glaze marker to her wings.
Next I felt she needed a decorative box to put her in. So I took two sheets of the Winter in Pink 6×6 paper and made a box.
For the bottom I scored the sheet at 1″ on all for sides, snipped the corners and taped the edges together with score tape. For the top I cut down the sheet to 5″ square and scored on all four sides at 1/2″ and assembled it the same way. I decorated the top with a triangle scrap I had left over from my Banner I did last week and a white paper doily from Doodlebug. Tying a sheer white ribbon around the box completed my project.
